Oil magnate Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, is backing a high-profile book launch in Abuja to promote President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, with industrialists Aliko Dangote and Abdul Samad Rabiu named as chief launchers.
The event, scheduled for November 5, will bring together senior political figures, business leaders, governors, traditional rulers and other influential Nigerians to unveil a publication supporting Tinubu’s continued presidency beyond 2027.
Organised by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement, the event will hold at the Bola Ahmed International Conference Centre, Abuja, with attendance strictly by invitation.
The book, titled The Courage to Reform: Architecture of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Beyond 2027, Statecraft, Vision for National Renewal, examines the President’s governing philosophy, economic reforms and vision for Nigeria’s future.
Dangote, president of Dangote Group, has been named Chief Launcher, while Rabiu, chairman of BUA Cement, will serve as Co-Chief Launcher.
Tinubu is expected to attend as Special Guest of Honour, while the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, will chair the occasion. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is listed as host, with Tompolo serving as Chief Host.
Other political figures listed for the event include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
The organisers also listed APC campaign and political figures, including Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Ibrahim Kabiru Masari and James Abiodun Faleke, alongside governors and representatives of the ruling party.
Traditional rulers expected at the gathering include the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
The event places political mobilisation and corporate influence side by side as Tinubu’s supporters begin to articulate their case for continuity ahead of the 2027 elections.
However, the book launch comes amid continuing public debate over the effects of the administration’s economic reforms, including their impact on household purchasing power, employment and living standards.
While supporters are expected to use the publication to present their assessment of Tinubu’s record, the wider debate over his administration will continue to centre on its economic outcomes and the experiences of Nigerians.
