An FCT High Court sitting in Maitama has ordered Jordan Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, to produce his American international passport in court after he testified that he was outside Nigeria when an alleged $2.1m land transaction took place.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji issued the order on Tuesday during the resumed hearing of a suit filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Ltd.
The suit, marked CV/008/2026, centres on allegations by the claimants that Jordan promised to facilitate the acquisition of 60 hectares of land in Katampe and Guzape, Abuja.
The claimants alleged that Jordan demanded $2.1m as facilitation fees, comprising $2m allegedly intended for his father and $100,000 for himself.
They further alleged that the money was delivered on September 26, 2025, in the presence of Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki and Sai Wani, while Jordan was said to have been accompanied by Onor Sandy.
According to the claimants, the promised land acquisition did not materialise and the money was not refunded.
Jordan, however, denied the allegations in his statement on oath adopted before the court.
During cross-examination by the claimants’ counsel, Hamza Dantani, Jordan denied knowledge of the allegations and documents presented to him.
When asked where he was on September 26, 2025, Jordan told the court that he was outside Nigeria.
Dantani then asked which passport he used to travel, to which Jordan replied that he travelled with his American international passport.
He also told the court that he could produce the passport if required.
Following the response, Dantani applied for an order compelling him to produce the document.
Justice Oriji granted the application and directed Jordan to bring the American passport to court.
Earlier, the claimant’s counsel had asked Jordan to write his full name and signature five times each on a plain sheet of paper. The application was not opposed by the defence and was granted.
Jordan was represented by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ogwu Onoja, while some documents were tendered through him.
The court adjourned the case until Wednesday for continuation of hearing.
