Florence David an agricultural investor has taken to her facebook page to lament her alleged lost of about ₦35 million and her life savings in the agricultural sector.

She attributed her loss to rising production costs, falling grain prices and insecurity since President Bola Tinubu assumed office in 2023.

David said the cost of agricultural production had tripled, while policies including grain imports contributed to a fall in the prices of crops she had invested heavily in producing.

She also blamed insecurity and kidnapping for making it difficult for farmers to access their farms.

“When I say Tinubu must be voted out, many don’t understand my pain and anger. I lost about ₦35 million and my life savings in the agric sector when Tinubu became President,” she said.

David said the combined challenges had resulted in continuous losses for her since 2023.

She alleged that grain imports hurt local farmers who had already spent heavily on production.

“I lost millions. And since 2023 till date, it’s been loss upon loss,” she said.

David’s claims about the amount lost and the specific causes of the loss were not independently verified.
