Member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Teejay Yusuf has defeated his opponent Senator Dino Melaye in a rerun primary election for Kogi west Peoples Democratic Party ticket.
Hon Yusuf polled 163 votes to beat Melaye who polled 99 votes in Tuesday’s Kogi West Senatorial District primary election rerun.
The earlier election conducted on Monday ended in a stalemate where former Senator Melaye and Hon.Yusuf scored 88 votes apiece
Melaye is a second timer in the senate who was removed by the court of Appeal and replaced by Senator Smart Adeyemi who was declared the original winner by the judgement in the 9th senate
TJ Yusuf is presently member of House of representative for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal Constituency.
