    Kogi west PDP senatorial primary ends in stalemate as Melaye, Yusuf polled 88 apiece

    The Kogi west senatorial primary election of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to pick its touch bearer on Monday ended in a stalemate. The former Senator, Senator Dino Melaye scored 88 votes while another aspirant, Hon. TJ Yusuf also scored 88 votes.
    Melaye is a second timer in the senate who was removed by the court of Appeal and replaced by Senator Smart Adeyemi in the 9th senate

    TJ Yusuf is presently member of House of representative for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal Constituency.
    A rerun primary has been scheduled for Tuesday.
