Gov. Ododo’s 2 years in office impactful, restored confidence – Kogi Assembly

Kogi State House of Assembly has described the two years in office of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as impactful, people-oriented and rancour-free.
Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, Speaker of the House, who disclosed this in a statement in Lokoja, said the state, in the last two years, witnessed significant progress and renewed public confidence in governance under Governor Ododo’s administration.
According to the Speaker, the collaboration between the Legislative and Executive Arms of government has contributed to the formulation and implementation of policies aimed at development, good governance, and improved service delivery across the state.
The Speaker noted that the House’s decision to work closely with the Executive had been justified in view of the landmark achievements recorded in infrastructural development, human capacity building, and other key sectors that directly impact the welfare of the people.
Aliyu reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to sustaining legislative support for policies and programmes that promote growth, stability, and prosperity of Kogi State.
The Speaker expressed optimism that the partnership with the Executive would yield even greater dividends in the coming years, urging continued focus on inclusive development and good governance. (Ends)
