***Tasks 12 Brigade on discipline, dedication to duty, commissions projects

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Chinedu Ralph Nnebeife has charged personnel of the 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Lokoja, to remain loyal, disciplined and dedicated to duty.

Maj.-Gen. Nnebeifean who gave the charge while on an operational visit to Headquarters of the 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, Lokoja, urged them to sustain the tempo of operations and cooperation with sister security agencies.
In a statement signed by Lt. Hassan Abdullahi, Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations, 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Lokoja, the GOC said the call was necessary to ensure lasting peace and security within their Areas of Responsibility.
The GOC while inaugurating some projects initiated and executed by the Brigade in furtherance of its strive towards enhanced personnel welfare and improved operational efficiency emphasised the dire need for operational efficiency.
During the visit, Major General Nnebeifean commissioned the remodeled Quarter Guard as well as three blocks of two bedroom, two family semi detached Senior Non Commissioned Officers Quarters.
He also inspected the renovated National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Members Lodge and expressed satisfaction with the standard of work done.
He commended the Brigade leadership under Brig. Gen. Kasim Umar Sidi, for its deliberate focus on welfare and provision of a conducive working and living environment for troops.
Addressing the troops, Major General Nnebeife applauded the commitment of troops of 12 Brigade to professionalism and discipline.
He charged personnel to “remain loyal, disciplined and dedicated to duty while sustaining the tempo of operations and cooperation with sister security agencies and other stakeholders.
The GOC, as part of activities marking the visit, also embarked on planting of trees, with dignitaries including the Security Adviser to Kogi State Government, Navy Cmdr Jerry Omodara (Rtd) as well as Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship Lugard, Commodore A.O. Ojo.
Others are the Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kogi State Command, Commander C.E. Aletan, members of 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association. (Ends)
