Anambra Awaits Election Results as INEC Activates Collation Centre

Tension is building in Anambra State as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) opens its state collation centre in Awka, awaiting official results from the 21 local government areas.
A visit to the INEC headquarters showed that the centre has been fully set up within the commission’s premises, with officials and observers already on ground for the final phase of result collation.
An INEC staff member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the commission will begin receiving results from local government areas as soon as they are ready.
While most areas are expected to deliver results promptly, officials say some riverine LGAs may face slight delays due to accessibility challenges despite the state’s generally good road network.
As the process unfolds, all eyes are on Awka, where INEC is set to begin the critical task of compiling results that will determine Anambra’s next governor.
