SPEAKER of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, has congratulated former Governor Yahaya Bello on his 50th birthday and lauded him as a passionate revolutionary leader.

The Speaker, in a statement signed and made available to newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, described Bello as a revolutionary leader, passionate about the state’s development.

According to the Speaker, former Governor Bello’s administration overhauled all sectors of the state, ensuring equitable distribution of resources and inclusive governance, particularly empowering youths and women.

Speaker Yusuf said that Bello ensured the inclusion of youths and women in governance in an aggressive manner stressing that the policy established a new paradigm in the political involvement of the demography like never seen before in Nigeria’s recent political history.

He commended Bello’s bravery in decision-making and commitment to pushing through policies that benefit the entire citizenry irrespective of political leaning, creed, or ethnicity.

The Speaker highlighted the collaborative efforts between the former Governor’s administration and the state Legislative Assembly.

Yusuf hinted that the collaboration led to the creation of agencies, commissions, and boards generating employment, improving infrastructure, and diversifying the economy.

The Speaker prayed for Bello’s good health, long life, and prosperity, reflecting the Assembly’s appreciation for his leadership. (Ends)
