The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, brought a message of hope, courage, and national gratitude to frontline troops in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday, May 8, during an operational visit to Dukku Barracks.

Amid growing public demand for peace and security, the Minister’s visit marked a crucial moment of reassurance—not just for the soldiers, but for the millions of Nigerians who rely on them.
Personal Assistant to the Minister on Media and Publicity, Mati Ali quoted him thus,
“You are not forgotten, You are seen, you are celebrated, and the entire nation stands with you.”
Carrying the goodwill and appreciation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Minister commended the military for its professionalism and relentless pursuit of safety for all Nigerians.
He praised their courage in the face of adversity and reminded them that their sacrifice was laying the foundation for a stronger, more secure Nigeria.

In a rousing call to arms, the Minister declared, “It is time to finish all aspects of insecurity.” When he asked the troops if they were ready to bring peace to the nation, the resounding “Yes, Sir!” that followed shook the parade ground.

Observers say the visit could not have come at a better time. With morale key to operational effectiveness, the government’s hands-on engagement is expected to boost the confidence of forces deployed across the North West and other flashpoints.

The Minister concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of soldiers and ensuring that their needs are met as they confront dangerous threats on behalf of the nation.

    In Kebbi, it wasn’t just a minister’s visit—it was a nation’s salute.
