    Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has described the late Chief Patrick Adaba and Dr. Tom Adaba as icons of integrity and excellence, whose contributions to governance and broadcasting have left an enduring mark on Nigeria.

    Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Ismaila Isah in a statement indicated that during separate condolence visits to their families in Abuja, Governor Ododo honored their remarkable service, acknowledging their dedication to nation-building and the development of Kogi State.

    While paying respects at the residence of Chief Patrick Adaba, the Governor hailed his commitment to public service, noting that as Deputy Governor of Kogi State from 1999 to 2003, he played a pivotal role in governance, setting a standard for leadership that continues to inspire.

    At the home of Dr. Tom Adaba, Governor Ododo described him as a pioneer in Nigeria’s media landscape, crediting his leadership as the first Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for laying a solid foundation for the nation’s broadcasting industry

    The Governor praised the Adaba family for producing two distinguished figures whose legacy of service, professionalism, and dedication will be remembered for generations. He emphasized that Kogi State and the nation have lost two great sons, but their contributions will continue to inspire progress in their respective fields.
