With the Ondo State governorship election fast approaching, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has urged the Ebira community in Ondo to back the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Speaking at an APC rally held at the Mobil Roundabout in Owo on Saturday, Governor Ododo urged the Ebira people to help re-elect the APC in Ondo and continue the developmental strides the party has made across the state.
Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Ismaila Isah in a statement on Sunday said, the Kogi Governor being the deputy chairman of the APC’s Election Campaign Council in Ondo, has expressed his appreciation for the Ebira community’s support in the 2020 election and encouraged them to rally around the APC once again on November 16.
“Come out en masse to vote for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the APC,” he urged. “Together, we can bring more progress in areas like infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security for everyone in Ondo State.”

Governor Ododo also commended President Bola Tinubu for prioritizing the Ajaokuta steel complex’s revival, a project critical to Kogi State’s economic development.
He assured the audience that the APC government, from the federal to the state level, is committed to rewarding the trust of its supporters with impactful policies and projects.

He endorsed Governor Aiyedatiwa as a “capable leader” who could continue the legacy of late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, commending Aiyedatiwa’s experience and vision. “The Ebira, Igala, and Okun communities in Ondo are united and fully behind you,” Ododo declared.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, in response, emphasized his commitment to fostering unity and peaceful coexistence in the state and pledged increased support for non-indigenous communities if re-elected.
Kogi APC Chairman Abdullahi Bello, also present, noted the strong bond between Kogi indigenes and Ondo residents, saying this unity would help deliver massive support for Aiyedatiwa at the polls.

Earlier, Governor Ododo visit the Ohinoyi of Anebira in Owo, His Royal Highness Adayi Isa Ahmed, who promised that the Ebira community would mobilize a high voter turnout in gratitude for the roles Ebira members now hold in the state administration under Governor Aiyedatiwa.
According to the statement, the rally saw strong attendance from the Ebira communities across Ondo’s northern senatorial district, reflecting widespread support for APC’s campaign as the November 16 election nears.
