A courtesy visit by the House of Representatives Committee members on Ecological Fund to the Jigawa State Council Chamber in Government House, Dutse, was marred by a dispute over seat allocation.
The incident occurred before the governor’s arrival, as government officials jostled for positions.

Special assistants had taken seats reserved for high-ranking government officials, including the Deputy Governor, Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, and Party Chairman.
This left some commissioners, including those for Budget, Agriculture, Works, and Basic Education, without seats, sparking a heated debate over protocol and hierarchy.

The controversy highlighted tensions within the government and raised questions about the organization and etiquette of official events.
