JAMB Rolls Out Nearly 1.9 Million UTME Results, Expands Nationwide Release

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has expanded the release of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, with nearly 1.9 million candidates now able to access their scores following the latest update.
In its newest release, the examination body confirmed that 1,264,940 results from candidates who sat for the exam on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18 have been uploaded for viewing.
This development builds on an earlier release of 632,752 results from Thursday, April 16, bringing the total number of results so far released to 1,897,692 within just three days of the nationwide exercise.
According to JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the phased release reflects the board’s ongoing marking, verification, and quality assurance processes, which are designed to ensure accuracy and credibility.
The board has directed candidates to check their results via its official SMS platforms by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number linked to their registration.
Unlike previous years where delays often triggered anxiety among candidates, the swift rollout this year signals a more streamlined process, with results being processed and released in near real-time batches.
The UTME remains Nigeria’s central admission экзам for entry into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, making the timely release of results a critical step in the academic calendar.
With millions of candidates participating in the 2026 exercise, attention is now shifting to performance patterns, cut-off expectations, and the next phase of admissions, as JAMB continues to release additional batches in the coming days.
