SDP State Chairmen Forum Congratulates National Chairman, Unveils New Executive Team

The Forum of Social Democratic Party (SDP) State Chairmen has congratulated Prof. Sodiq Abubakar Gombe on his confirmation as National Chairman, hailing his appointment as a strong signal of unity and stability within the party. The announcement was made by the forum’s leader, Hon. Femi Olaniyi Ferrari, during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
According to Hon. Ferrari, Prof. Gombe’s confirmation by the National Executive Council reflects the widespread confidence he commands across the party and marks a new chapter in the SDP’s journey toward consolidating its status as a credible, disciplined, and forward-looking political platform.
The forum also commended the National Working Committees for their resilience and dedication, noting that their efforts have been central to the party’s growth and its rising prominence in Nigeria’s political landscape. Special appreciation was extended to the party’s former presidential candidate in the 2023 general election for his moral and financial support, which the forum said has been invaluable in shaping the SDP’s progress.
In a show of internal coordination and strengthened leadership, the forum unveiled its new executive members. The team includes Hon. Ferrari as Chairman of Chairmen (COC), Abba Modu as Deputy Chairman for the Northern Region, Hon. Okunlade Michael as Deputy for the Southern Region, Mr. Adamu Idris as Secretary, Mr. Idoko Itodo as Assistant Secretary, Mr. Kingsley Obina Agbo as Treasurer, Mr. Allen Amadien as Publicity Secretary, Barrister Yerima Yakubu as Legal Adviser, and Mr. Willington Odiong as Ex Officio.
“We congratulate all newly appointed leaders and pray for wisdom, insight, and dedication as they take on their responsibilities,” said Mr. Idris Adamu, Secretary of the forum. He also urged all SDP members nationwide to continue their grassroots sensitization efforts, highlighting the party as a credible alternative for Nigerians seeking stability, unity, and effective governance.
