US Delivers Military Supplies to Nigeria in Boost to Counterterrorism Operations

The United States has delivered critical military supplies to Nigerian security agencies, strengthening ongoing operations against terrorism and violent extremism across the country.
The delivery was confirmed Tuesday by the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), which said the supplies were handed over to Nigerian partners in Abuja as part of a shared security partnership.
“U.S. forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja, supporting Nigeria’s ongoing operations,” AFRICOM stated.
The development follows recent high-level engagements between Nigeria and the United States aimed at deepening security cooperation, intelligence sharing, and defence support. Nigerian officials say the assistance will enhance operational capacity and reinforce efforts to protect vulnerable communities nationwide.
