Senator representin Katsina Central, AbdulAziz Musa Yar’Adua has described 2026 as a defining year for the senatorial District, assuring residents that strengthened security measures and focused legislative action will take centre stage in his agenda.
In a New Year message to constituents, the senator thanked the people for their trust and support, while acknowledging that persistent security and development challenges demand renewed urgency and cooperation.
Rather than rhetoric, he said the year ahead would be driven by practical engagement with the federal government and other critical stakeholders to deliver results in security, infrastructure, healthcare, education and economic empowerment.
Calling for unity across political and community lines, Senator Yar’Adua urged leaders and citizens alike to see governance as a shared responsibility, encouraging continuous feedback to ensure policies reflect the realities on the ground.
He also highlighted Katsina Central’s political significance, appealing to the political class—particularly members of the All Progressives Congress (APC)—to support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda as a pathway to national recovery and local stability.
“As we turn the page on the past year, we must be deliberate about shaping a future defined by progress, safety and opportunity for our people,” the senator said.
On security, he disclosed that steps are being taken to boost federal recruitment of security personnel, improve the district’s representation in national security structures, and secure modern equipment to confront rising threats in Katsina Central and beyond.
Reaffirming his role as a conduit between the people and the Senate, Senator Yar’Adua pledged to remain a consistent voice for the district. “Your concerns guide my work. I will continue to advocate relentlessly for your safety, dignity and prosperity,” he assured.
