The Vice Chancellor of Salem University, Lokoja, Prof. Alewo Johnson-Akubo, has commended the institution’s Chancellor, Archbishop Sam Amaga, for the successful commencement of the 2025 Salem Outpouring Conference in Abuja.
Speaking with journalists in Lokoja on Friday, Prof. Johnson-Akubo described the four-day event, themed “The Beauty and the Responsibility of Faith,” as an impactful annual spiritual awakening for Christians within and outside Nigeria.
He lauded Archbishop Amaga — who is also the visionary founder of Salem University and the Foundation Faith Church (Salem Family Worldwide) — for his continued spiritual leadership and positive influence on lives across generations.
“The Salem Outpouring Conference is a significant Christian gathering that promotes kingdom impact and moral transformation,” the VC said. “It helps participants deepen their relationship with God and live purposefully for peace and development.”
Johnson-Akubo noted that the conference attracts worshippers from across the world seeking divine impartation, healing, and spiritual renewal, adding that many attendees often testify to miracles and life-changing experiences.
He urged Christians nationwide to take advantage of the annual conference to strengthen their faith and contribute positively to humanity through godly living and service.
