Gunmen on Sunday night abducted Mrs. Patience Nasamu, wife of Pastor Samuel Nasamu of Word of God Church, Agyaragu, along with a visiting female church member in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State—leaving behind her three-month-old baby.
An eyewitness told our correspondent that the attackers stormed the pastor’s compound around 8:15 p.m., shattering windows and doors with a hammer. When they failed to break in, they fired gunshots into the air, forcing Mrs. Nasamu to open the door before whisking her and the visitor away.

Narrating the ordeal, Pastor Nasamu said he was praying for a sick church member when he received a frantic call from his wife.
“All I could hear was her praying; she couldn’t even explain what was happening. By the time I rushed back, both she and our visitor had been abducted, leaving our baby behind,” he said.
The cleric said no ransom demand or contact has been made since the attack. Police officers reportedly visited the scene and assured residents that investigations were underway.
A local resident, speaking anonymously, described the spate of kidnappings in Agyaragu as “alarming,” urging urgent government action.
“We live in fear every day. Farmers and residents are taken almost daily. Agyaragu is now at the mercy of kidnappers,” the resident lamented.
Efforts to reach Nasarawa State Police Command spokesperson SP Ramhan Nansel were unsuccessful at press time.
