Senator Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South in the National Assembly, has visited the family of late Dr. Solomon Arase, a former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), to offer his condolences.
Arase, a distinguished police officer and legal practitioner, passed away recently while Senator Imasuen was on legislative duties abroad.
Dr. Arase, who served as Nigeria’s 18th IGP from April 2015 to June 2016, was widely respected for his policing reforms and commitment to community security initiatives. After retiring from the Nigeria Police Force, he chaired several security advisory boards and contributed to law enforcement policy development.
Speaking during his visit, Senator Imasuen described Arase’s death as a great loss to Edo State and the nation at large:

“I pray God Almighty to grant his wife, children, and family the strength to bear the pain and void his death has caused.”
The senator praised Arase’s legacy of integrity, professionalism, and service, urging Nigerians to emulate his dedication to public service and nation-building.
