    My Dear Kogi Easterners,

    Our support for Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho’s re-election in 2027 is not based on personal interest for personal gains or because one is benefiting from him directly. I, as a person, have never visited Senator Echocho in his office since he became the senator representing Kogi East.

    My bid for his reelection and that of Rt Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims is built on their performance so far and the benefits of returning them is more than compare to when we send a new member to the senate or reps since we have them as principal officials and already representing us in national politics. Check, which Igala do we have at the National level representing us apart from them.

    We need to drop sentiment aside and look inward.

    In the area of motions, bills, creating jobs, employment, empowerment, infrastructure and dispensing their duty at the National Assembly, they are doing well.

    In the area of bills and motion, Sen Echocho has moved several bills and motions, including:

    National Eye Centre Ochadamu (Establishment) Bill;

    Bill for the Establishment of the Nigeria Cashew Crop Processing Agency;
    Nigerian Capital Market Development Fund (Establishment) Bill;
    Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, (Repeal and Enactment) Bill, among others, among others
    Import Substitution Strategy Bill 2025
    National Broadcasting Commission (Repeal and Re-Enactment) Bill
    National Centre For Economic Management And Administration Act (Amendment) Bill 2025

    In the area of Motions:

    Motion for the Rehabilitation of Shintaku, Anyigba road;
    Motion for the completion of Abadigba power project at Egume;
    Motion for the Rehabilitation of Itobe-Ajaokuta road;

    Sen Echocho have supersede any Senator that have ever represented Kogi East. It’s obvious.

    He needs our support and encouragement to be able to continue representing us excellently just as he’s doing.

    I’m for Sen Echocho and Hon Halims any day any time. This two have proven themselves beyond doubt and they need us to return them for general good of Kogi East at large.

    God bless us all.
    I’m for peace and prosperity and progress.

    – Robert Arome Eboh writes from Olamaboro.
