Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has declared that he has what it takes to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election—if given the ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking to party stakeholders in Abuja on Saturday, Amaechi said his entry into the race would not only guarantee victory but also expose the alleged strategies used by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to manipulate past elections.
“If I secure the ADC ticket, I will beat President Tinubu at the polls. More importantly, Nigerians will finally see how the APC rigs elections,” he said.
Amaechi, who served as Rivers State governor for eight years and twice as Director-General of APC presidential campaigns, insisted that Nigerians were yearning for change and transparency.
“The people want truth, not propaganda. I know the system from the inside, and I will dismantle the machinery that has kept them in power through questionable means,” he added.
The former minister urged ADC members to rally behind him, stressing that unity and strategic mobilisation were key to unseating the ruling party in 2027.
