Veteran political strategist and founding Director-General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Earl Osaro Onaiwu, has taken a direct swipe at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former PDP member Bolaji Abdullahi, cautioning them to steer clear of unprovoked attacks on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a strongly worded statement issued to the media, Onaiwu dismissed recent criticisms of the PDP by the ADC as a “needless distraction from a party still trying to find its identity,” insisting the PDP remains the most structured and nationally rooted political platform in Nigeria.
“We are not nomadic politicians. The PDP is not a political shelter for drifters. It is a party with deep roots, legacy, and national spread. Those throwing jabs should focus on fixing their own rented tents,” Onaiwu said.

He particularly called out Bolaji Abdullahi, urging him to settle quietly into his new political home instead of launching attacks on the party that once gave him a national voice.
“Bolaji should focus on decorating his new political apartment. The PDP gave him relevance, and it’s disappointing to see him bite the hand that once fed him. Gratitude, not mockery, is the honourable thing,” he added.
Onaiwu accused the ADC and its members of attempting to erase history and rewrite their political origin stories, warning that their current posture reeks of ingratitude and desperation.
“Many of them made their names in the PDP. To now pretend they emerged from nowhere is dishonest. Respect the platform that once gave you a stage,” he said.
He reiterated the PDP’s readiness to restore Nigeria’s democratic promise, while warning detractors to watch their tone and avoid dragging the party into petty political quarrels.
“Our house is not for rent. We’re not scrambling for attention or space. We are focused on rebuilding Nigeria and will not be derailed by those still searching for political footing,” Onaiwu declared.
