***Key terrorist hideouts destroyed in precision air raid
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully foiled a planned terrorist attack by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State through a series of targeted airstrikes under Operation Hadin Kai.
According to a statement released on Saturday by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the strikes were conducted at Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia in the southern Tumbuns, following actionable intelligence.
“Acting on credible intelligence, NAF aircraft struck terrorist structures used for storage and coordination, delivering direct hits and crippling planned attacks aimed at disrupting Eid celebrations,” the statement said.
The operation, carried out with precision, neutralized several terrorists and destroyed critical logistics hubs used by the insurgents to plan and launch attacks.
Air Commodore Gabkwet emphasized that the pre-emptive strikes demonstrate the Nigerian Air Force’s continued resolve to protect civilian lives and uphold national security, especially during festive periods.
The NAF reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining air dominance and supporting ground operations in the North East to ensure lasting peace and security in the region.
