The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has confirmed 17 out of the 18 nominees submitted by Governor Abdullahi Sule for appointment as Administrators of the Area Administrative Councils across the state.
Speaker of the House, Dr. Danladi Jatau, announced the confirmation on Monday during the House proceedings in Lafia, the state capital, following a screening exercise conducted by the legislature.
The confirmation of Mr. Bashir Zubairu, nominated as Administrator of the Farin Ruwa Area Administrative Council, was stepped down by the House. The Speaker did not immediately disclose the reason but noted that the list included highly qualified individuals, including a professor and a PhD holder.
Congratulating the confirmed appointees, Speaker Jatau urged them to uphold integrity and accountability in the discharge of their duties when officially sworn in.
“I congratulate all the confirmed Administrators and encourage them to live above board in their assignments. They must justify the confidence reposed in them by His Excellency and the people of Nasarawa State,” the Speaker said.

The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to officially communicate the Assembly’s resolution to Governor Sule for necessary executive action.
