    Dr Abubakar Yahaya

The long-awaited text of the Jagora Talakawa is coming to fruition May 13th 2025 at Abuja.

The autobiography “Being True to Myself” will no doubt present revelations, historical facts, political intrigues, power politics, and a political sojourn spanning over three decades.

A close encounter with Alh Dr Sule Lamido will reveal to you his statesmanship, leadership wisdom, selfless sacrifice and service to humanity embedded in his personality. There is never a dull moment with Sule Lamido.

There are a number of issues that I look forward to in his autobiography:

    1. How was he able to navigate the struggle of the Talakawas from the northern aristocrats, most especially coming from a royal family?
    2. What motivates his steadfast confrontations with the military dictatorship of Buhari, IBB and Abacha in the struggle for the return to civilian rule?
    3. What are the historical accounts of the annulment of June 12?
    4. How was he able to navigate Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives at a time when the country was coming out from a pariah status in the international community? What lessons are there for Nigerian foreign policy makers?
    5. How was he able to govern Jigawa State from 2007-2015 at a time the state was seen as a laughing stock with the worst indices of development?
    6. What informed his political ideology and consistency in the fourth republic party politics at a time when gale of defections have become the norm and lexicon of Politicians in Nigeria?
    7. What informed his criticism of the APC from day one and his refusal to join the party at the time other members of the NewPDP joined in 2014?
    8. How did he confront the corruption allegations labelled against him and his experience in the hands of the Nigerian Judiciary?
    9. What are his suggestions on the numerous problems facing Nigerian.
    10. Finally, what are his thoughts on Party politics and the future of Nigerian Civilian political dispensation as we look forward to 2027 elections.

To know more and many other issues, we await the JAGORA TALAKAWA as he unveils his autobiography on the 13th May 2025 at NAF Conference Centre Abuja.
