I watched with disgust the speech made by the Former Governor of Abia State Sen. Orji Uzo Kalu today on the fair comment made by H.E Mr Peter Obi about the state of the country at John Hopkins University.

Mr Peter Obi challenged the current administration using data to point out the fact that Nigeria isn’t where it supposed to be for lack of purposeful leadership.

I think it high time these politicians spoke truth to power. According to Sen Kalu, he preferred leaders who would tell the truth to the world than malign the image of the country and I sincerely would want Sen. Orji Uzo Kalu to point out Mr Peter Obi’s error in what he said about the state of the country.

Mr Peter Obi’s highlight were in the areas of education, health care, governance and economic development as at present and not aimed at demarketing Nigeria as you claimed.

Criticism based on facts should not be perceived as antagonistic. Leadership thrives better when there are critics to critically analyze the level of leadership dished out to citizenry. When leaders like this speak,it only exposes how misinformed or how deliberately mischievous they are with the truth.

If any one should be accused of demarketing Nigeria it should be those who have stolen public funds, that has brought Nigeria’s economy to her knees and the level of poverty that has totally dehumanized our people.

The fact is,it is the APC government that is demarketing Nigeria by churning out fake data to intentionally deceive the people that the economy and the government is doing well,When the stark reality as seen in International Monetary Fund and World Bank report shows that More Nigerians will fall into multidimensional poverty in 2027

In reality,Mr Peter Obi should be commended for standing tall in trying to make President Tinubu’s government see the level of poverty caused by his administration instead of receiving jabs from Former Governor who allegedly didn’t perform while in office.

Painfully, the APC administration seems disconnected from the day to day reality of the masses.
