In a heartfelt ceremony that turned a regular Monday into a moment of history, the youth of Rano rose to their feet—not in protest, but in gratitude.

Their applause was for one man: Hon. Ibrahim Malami, the representative for Rano Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly.

The Coalition of Youth Development Associations presented Malami with an Award of Excellence, a recognition that captured the growing admiration for a leader whose actions have spoken louder than his promises.
Zonal information officer in Rano, Rabiu Khalil Kura in a statement quoted the coalition to have said,
“We see what you’ve done,” said Comrade Ado Ringi, Chairman of the Nigerian Youth Council, Rano Chapter. “And we want you to know it matters. To every young person, to every household—you have made a difference.”

Hon. Malami’s political journey has been marked by legislative impact and local transformation. With 18 bills sponsored in the 2024 legislative year alone, he was recently crowned Most Vibrant Lawmaker by Freedom Radio.
But what has truly earned him the love of his people are the tangible results—healthcare improvements, educational support, and consistent presence within the community.

The ceremony, held at the Rano Townhall, drew a cross-section of the town’s leadership and residents. In attendance were Mal. Naziru Yau, LGA Chairman; Mal. Kabiru Sani, Wazirin Rano, representing the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Dr. Muhd Isa Umaru; and Mal. Sani Garba, NNPP Rano Chairman—all offering messages of pride and encouragement.

For Hon. Malami, the moment was humbling. “This award is a mirror,” he said. “It reflects the people I serve. It’s a reminder to never rest, and to always strive for more.”

Also present at the event were Professor Dahiru Sani, youth leaders, students, and members of the community who have benefited directly from Malami’s outreach.

As the day drew to a close, there was one message that resonated across Rano: leadership rooted in sincerity, accessibility, and action is not just possible—it is already here.
