The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, has paid tribute to mothers, particularly female journalists, for their unwavering dedication to both their profession and family life as the world marks Mothering Sunday.

In a heartfelt message, NUJ FCT Chairperson, Comrade Grace Ike, acknowledged the sacrifices and resilience of women who balance the demanding nature of journalism with their nurturing roles at home. She emphasized that mothers play a critical role in shaping narratives, fostering truth, and upholding integrity in society.

“As journalists, we recognize and celebrate the strength of female journalists who juggle the pressures of work with their responsibilities as mothers and caregivers. Their contributions to the media and nation-building deserve appreciation and support,” Ike stated.

The NUJ FCT Council urged society to continually support and uplift mothers, ensuring that their sacrifices are recognized and rewarded.

The Council extended warm wishes to all mothers, encouraging them to keep inspiring change in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
