The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, has felicitated with Muslim journalists and the entire Muslim community in Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to uphold the values of integrity, peace, and professionalism in their work.
In a goodwill message, NUJ FCT Chairperson, Comrade Grace Ike, praised Muslim faithful for their discipline, sacrifice, and spiritual commitment during Ramadan. She noted that the lessons of the holy month—patience, generosity, and devotion—should continue to guide both personal and professional lives.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, let us carry forward the values of love, unity, and honesty. As journalists, we have a duty to uphold truth and promote national cohesion, especially in these critical times,” she said.
She also called on Nigerians to embrace peace and understanding, stressing that ethical journalism plays a crucial role in fostering a more united and prosperous nation.
