    Olori Marie Owoniyi’s Final Journey Set for May 2

    The final rites for Olori Marie Ige Owoniyi, beloved wife of the Obaro of Kabba, Oba (Dr) Solomon Dele Owoniyi, will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025, with a private internment at the palace grounds in Kabba.

    A funeral service in her honour will be held at 10 AM at the Cathedral of St. Andrew’s, Anglican Communion, Odolu, Kabba, before the internment.

    The funeral events will begin with a service of songs on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 4 PM, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Restoration Court, Magodo, Lagos. This will be followed by a Christian wake at the palace in Kabba on Thursday, May 1, at 5 PM.

    On April 28, 2025, her remains will be transported from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) to Kabba.

    A reception will be held at the 95 Degrees Event Centre, Kabba-Okene Road, Kabba, immediately after the internment.

    The Palace expressed gratitude to the people of Kabba, the Kogi State Government, and sympathisers nationwide for their outpouring of love and support during this period of mourning.
