In a bold push to attract investment and drive energy sector transformation, Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, showcased the country’s energy investment opportunities at the Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) Forum in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Speaking at the high-profile global gathering, Mr. Edun underscored Nigeria’s commitment to achieving universal energy access through strategic investment and greater private sector participation. He called on international investors to partner with the government in unlocking Nigeria’s vast energy potential.

“Nigeria’s energy needs cannot be met by the government alone. Our reforms are structured to improve market dynamics, create an enabling environment for investment, and drive sustainable energy solutions,” Edun stated.
Director of Information and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga in a statement indicated that a major highlight of the forum was Nigeria’s participation in Mission 300, a joint initiative by the World Bank and the African Development Bank, which aims to provide electricity to 300 million Africans.
It explained further that Nigeria is leveraging this initiative to expand its renewable energy infrastructure and improve access to underserved communities.
Reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to energy sector reforms, the Honourable Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, also attended the forum, adding weight to the government’s strategic efforts.

The SEforALL Forum a major platform to advance global solutions for a just and inclusive energy transition.
With its growing focus on renewable energy and sustainable investments, Nigeria is on track to become a leader in Africa’s energy landscape, fostering economic growth, innovation, and improved living standards for millions of its citizens.
