Rugby School Nigeria, the prestigious institution set to open in Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, has appointed Dr Adam England as its pioneer Principal.
The announcement marked a significant step toward the school’s grand opening in September, when it will welcome its first A Level students, with a full senior school launch set for 2026.
Dr England, a seasoned education leader with two decades of experience in the UK and Africa, previously served as Director General of École Internationale Ruban Vert in Gabon.
He holds degrees in English and French from Warwick and Swansea University, alongside a doctorate in English Literature. His connection to Nigeria is deeply rooted, having worked in Lagos before and developed a strong affinity for its culture and people.
Excited about his new role, Dr England stated: “Returning to Lagos as Principal of such a prestigious school is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I look forward to building a thriving, dynamic school community.”
CEO of Rugby School Group, Neil Hampton, expressed confidence in Dr England’s leadership, emphasizing that the school aims to deliver a world-class education that nurtures future leaders.
With its commitment to academic excellence and holistic education, Rugby School Nigeria is poised to become a beacon of elite learning in West Africa.
