Crackdown in Akwa Ibom: Police Dismantle Crime Networks, Issue Final Warning
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has intensified its war against crime, making multiple arrests and sending a strong message to criminals operating in the state.
During a press briefing at the Command Headquarters, Police Public Relations Officer DSP Timfon John detailed a series of successful raids that led to the arrest of burglars, drug dealers, cultists, child traffickers, and car thieves.
In a major breakthrough, a child trafficking syndicate was exposed after a woman confessed to selling her own child and later conspiring to kidnap another.
Similarly, suspected drug dealers were caught with Indian hemp, cocaine, and synthetic drugs, while a notorious cultist was arrested with illicit substances.
The police also recovered stolen electronics, luxury items, and a stolen tricycle, dealing a major blow to crime syndicates across the state.
Declaring Akwa Ibom a hostile zone for criminals, DSP John warned: “Your days are numbered. Reform or leave, because the police will find you.”
The Command urged the public to remain vigilant and report criminal activities, reassuring them of confidentiality.
With security forces tightening their grip, Akwa Ibom is proving to be a no-go zone for lawbreakers.
