The Northern Senators Forum has expressed deep sorrow following the death of Lieutenant General Jeremiah Useni, a former military leader and politician, whose contributions to Nigeria’s growth and unity have left an indelible mark on the nation.
In a statement released on Friday by Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, Chairman of the Forum, he described General Useni as a true patriot who dedicated his life to the service of the country.

“Beyond his military career, General Useni also left a lasting legacy in the political landscape, having served as a Senator in the 8th National Assembly representing Plateau South Senatorial District.

In their tribute, members of the Northern Senators Forum expressed that General Useni’s wisdom and leadership would be deeply missed, acknowledging that his counsel had played a pivotal role in shaping many important decisions within the Senate.
