Emir of Rano receives award for Academic Support

The Emir of Rano, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Isa Umaru, has been honored by Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Kano, for his remarkable contributions to education and scholarly pursuits.
The college awarded a Certificate of Honour to the Emir in recognition of his unwavering hospitality and support for students and lecturers who frequently visit the historic Rano Emirate for academic research and excursions.
Head of the Department of Social Science, Dr. Yhya Salisu Abdullahi, who presented the award on behalf of the institution praised the Emir’s humility and the Emirate’s commitment to fostering educational partnerships.
Dr. Sule noted that the Rano Emirate, with its over 200 years of rich history, has become a prime destination for academic exploration.
The Zonal Information Officer, Rano, Rabiu Khalil Kura in a statement quoted the emir represented by the Wazirin Rano, Alh. Kabiru Sani, to have expressed gratitude while pledging continued support to the college.
He assured that the Emirate’s doors would always remain opened to students and faculty, emphasizing the importance of collaborative growth between the academic and traditional institutions.
In his remarks, the Emir also urged the government to prioritize funding for Saadatu Rimi College of Education, recognizing the institution’s pivotal role in shaping the future of Kano State and Nigeria.
This recognition not only highlights the Emir’s dedication to education but also reinforces the vital role traditional leaders play in advancing academic excellence.
