The office of former Senate President, Senator David Alechenu Bonaventure Mark, has raised the alarm over the existence of multiple fake Facebook accounts impersonating the elder statesman.

In a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Mumeh, the public was cautioned against engaging with or trusting any information disseminated through these fraudulent accounts.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Mark does not have an official Facebook account. Members of the public are advised not to accord any of these fake accounts recognition,” the statement read.

The public was further urged to disregard any posts or messages from such accounts and to assist by reporting them to Facebook for prompt action.

Senator Mark’s office expressed gratitude for the public’s cooperation in curbing this fraudulent activity.
Members of the public are advised to remain vigilant against online impersonation scams and rely only on verified sources for credible information about the former Senate President.
