Okpebholo Boosts Workers’ Morale with 13th Month Salary Ahead of Festivities
Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has demonstrated his commitment to workers’ welfare by paying a 13th-month salary to civil and public servants, adding cheer to the festive season.
A statement the chief Press Secretary to the governor, Fred Itua said in fulfilment of his promise to prioritize timely remuneration, Governor Okpebholo paid November salaries on the 27th of November 2024, defying earlier criticisms from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which had cast doubts on his ability to deliver.
According to the statement, Since assuming office on November 12, 2024, Governor Okpebholo has shown he is prepared for governance, swiftly addressing workers’ needs and proving his critics wrong.
Commending the governor’s proactive approach, Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, assured workers that the administration remains committed to their welfare.
He praised the governor for approving and disbursing the 13th-month salary by December 29, 2024, describing it as a morale booster that will inspire productivity and collaboration for the state’s development.
