The office of former Senate President, Senator David Alechenu Bonaventure Mark, has raised the alarm over the existence of multiple fake Facebook accounts impersonating the elder statesman.

In a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Mumeh, the public was cautioned against engaging with or trusting any information disseminated through these fraudulent accounts.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Mark does not have an official Facebook account. Members of the public are advised not to accord any of these fake accounts recognition,” the statement read.

The public was further urged to disregard any posts or messages from such accounts and to assist by reporting them to Facebook for prompt action.

Senator Mark’s office expressed gratitude for the public’s cooperation in curbing this fraudulent activity.
Members of the public are advised to remain vigilant against online impersonation scams and rely only on verified sources for credible information about the former Senate President.

Tragedy Strikes Ondo State as SSG Oluwatuyi Succumbs to Injuries from Auto Crash

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Ondo State has been thrown into mourning following the death of its Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, who passed away after complications from an auto crash.

The fatal incident occurred on Sunday, December 15, 2024, while Oluwatuyi was traveling from Akure, the Ondo State capital, to Ibadan, Oyo State. Despite being rushed to a hospital and receiving intensive medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries on January 4, 2025.

The announcement of his passing was made by the Commissioner for Information, Wale Akinlosotu, who described the late Oluwatuyi as a pillar of dedication and service to Ondo State.

“It is with profound sadness that the Government of Ondo State announces the passing of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi,” Akinlosotu stated. “He was a dedicated public servant whose impact on administrative coordination and policy implementation was monumental.”

Oluwatuyi’s political journey spanned decades, having served as Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Commissioner, and twice as SSG. His leadership and unwavering commitment to governance made him a highly respected figure in the state.
