Jigawa State Partners with AgroEquip to Boost Agricultural Productivity

The Jigawa State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AgroEquip Manufacturing and Procurement Limited to enhance the state’s agricultural input supply system.
This was disclosed in a press statement issued by Mr. Ismaila Ibrahim, Public Relations Officer, Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The MoU was signed at the government office in Dutse, withbSecretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim representing Jigawa State, and Chief Executive Officer of AgroEquip Manufacturing and Procurement Limited, Mr. Wale Akinmusire, representing the company.
Malam Ibrahim highlighted that the partnership marks a significant step towards creating a more resilient agricultural sector in Jigawa State.
“With this MoU, Jigawa State Government is committed to collaborating with AgroEquip Manufacturing and Procurement Limited to improve agricultural productivity through the supply of high-quality agricultural inputs,” Ibrahim stated.
The CEO of AgroEquip, Mr. Wale Akinmusire described the agreement as a landmark achievement for both parties. He emphasized that the partnership would focus on the procurement of wheat inputs for the 2024 cropping season to support agricultural development in the state.
“Our commitment is to deliver high-quality agricultural inputs that meet all applicable standards and specifications, ensuring they are free from defects,” Akinmusire assured.
The MoU is expected to improve agricultural output, promote food security, and strengthen the supply chain of essential inputs for farmers in Jigawa State, signaling a brighter future for the region’s agricultural economy.
