The ceremony was held on Friday at the National Mosque, Abuja, following the Juma’at prayers. Senator Barau’s son, Jibrin Barau I. Jibrin (Abba), married Maryam Nasir Ado Bayero, daughter of the Emir of Bichi, while Aisha Barau I. Jibrin married Engineer Abubakar Abdulmunaf, son of Azman Group President, Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina.

President Tinubu represented the two families as Wakil and Waliy for Senator Barau’s children, a role performed through Speaker Abbas. Dr. Ganduje stood as Waliy for the Emir of Bichi’s daughter, while former Nasarawa State Governor, Senator Tanko Al-Makura, acted as Wakil for the Abdulmunaf family.

The wedding fatiha was officiated by Professor Ibrahim Maqari, the Imam of the National Mosque.

The event drew a host of dignitaries across political, traditional, and business spheres. Attendees included:

Governors: Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Peter Mbah (Enugu), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Dikko Umar Radda (Katsina), Ahmed Usman Ododo (Kogi), and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe).

Presidential Aides: Senator George Akume (SGF), Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (Chief of Staff), Malam Nuhu Ribadu (National Security Adviser), and other senior government officials.

Prominent business leaders, religious figures, and traditional rulers also attended the high-profile ceremony, which symbolized unity and collaboration across Nigeria’s political and cultural landscape.

Mr. Godwin had presented his daughter Grace Elora Emmanuella Ernest Godwin, on October 27, 2024 at the Dunamis Internationak Gospel Center, by Arab Road, Kubwa, BAC Abuja to God where he also hosted a thanksgiving to God for his mercies over his family
