The Edo Festival and Awards, one of Nigeria’s most esteemed cultural events, is set to make a significant impact this year by focusing on empowering the less privileged in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

CEO of JJ Barry Conglomerate, Ambassador Ken Odeh, made this announcement in a statement shared by his media handler, Fidel Oseghale, in Abuja.
The 14th edition of the festival will take place from November 15th to 17th in London, showcasing the vibrant culture and heritage of the Edo people.

Odeh highlighted that this year’s festival is dedicated not only to celebrating excellence in arts and culture but also to promoting social change. “Our primary goal is to allocate a portion of the proceeds to support underprivileged individuals and families,” he explained.
The initiative aims to provide scholarships, vocational training, and other essential resources that can create a meaningful impact.

The festival will feature an impressive lineup of performances, awards honoring exceptional individuals across various sectors, and cultural exhibitions that reflect the unique traditions of the Edo people.
Additionally, workshops will focus on raising awareness about the challenges faced by marginalized communities in both the UK and Nigeria.

This initiative is especially timely as many communities continue to grapple with the economic fallout from the pandemic. Odeh reiterated that the Edo Festival and Awards serves as more than just a celebration; it is a source of hope for those in need.

In his closing remarks, Ambassador Odeh encouraged businesses and individuals to lend their support to the festival. “Together, we can build a brighter future for everyone, one celebration at a time,” he declared, reinforcing the festival’s mission of empowerment and community upliftment.
