Mahmoud Calls for Enhanced Media Collaboration on Security and Flooding
The FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has urged Nigeria Television Authority, Channel 5, to pursue new avenues for collaboration, particularly in addressing security and flooding concerns.
During a recent courtesy visit from the station’s management, Dr. Mahmoud highlighted the need for effective communication to inform residents in remote communities about the challenges posed by flooding and security issues.
Special Adviser on Media to the Minister, Austine Elemue quoted her to expressed gratitude for the longstanding partnership with NTA, noting its role in delivering vital information to the public. “We appreciate the quality service the Nigeria Television Authority provides, which has significantly benefited our grassroots communities,” she stated.
Dr. Mahmoud emphasized the importance of the collaboration, saying, “Our relationship has been pivotal to our shared success.
We are eager to explore new initiatives together, especially in the critical areas of security and flooding.”
General Manager of NTA Channel 5, Mr. Paul Atte echoed her sentiments, reflecting on the positive history between the station and the FCT Administration.
He expressed a desire for even stronger cooperation and reaffirmed the station’s commitment to maintaining its standards as a “unity station,” despite current challenges.
