By Ahmed Rufa’i, Dutse
Governor Malam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has urged residents of the state come out en masse and vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates in the forthcoming local government elections.
The governor indicated that supporting APC across all 27 local government areas would “disgrace” the opposition and create a unified government structure at the local, state, and federal levels.
Speaking at the APC Southeast Zonal campaign rally in Hadejia, Governor Namadi highlighted the importance of electing APC candidates to continue the state’s development agenda.
He stated that the APC-led administration is committed to improving the social and economic well-being of the people through various projects and programs aligned with the party’s 12-point agenda.
“I urge the good people of Jigawa to vote for our party’s candidates. We trust in their loyalty, patriotism, and commitment to serving the state in line with our party’s philosophy and agenda,” said Governor Namadi.
He reiterated his administration’s goal of reducing poverty by 10% annually and encouraged the youth to engage in farming as a business to promote job creation, wealth generation, and food security.
APC State Chairman, Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, called on party members to intensify their campaign efforts, visiting every village, town, and home to mobilize support.
He said he is confident in the party’s chances, citing some positive impact of the APC government on the state’s development.
Secretary to the State Government and chairman of the campaign council, Malam Bala Ibrahim urged voters to support APC candidates, ensuring that the three tiers of government are aligned for unified policies that would improve the socioeconomic lives of Jigawa residents.
