Kogi Central Senator calls for action after devastating floods

The Senator representing Kogi Central in the National Assembly, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has expressed her deep condolences to the people of Borno and Bauchi states, who have been severely affected by recent floods.

The floods, triggered by heavy rainfall and the overflow of the Alau Dam, have resulted in widespread destruction and displacement.

After commending the efforts of the Federal Government, state governments, and humanitarian organizations in providing relief, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan reiterated the need for proactive measures to prevent such disasters in the future.

She stated, “The devastating impact of these floods demands swift and decisive action… I will continue to advocate for the necessary resources and support to ensure that affected communities receive the aid they desperately need.”
Natasha’s call to action is aimed at ensuring the Governments at all levels mitigate the effects of the floods and support the affected communities in their recovery efforts
