A deadly clash between the Gbagy community and Fulani Herdsmen in Bosso local government area has resulted in a significant loss of life and property.

The conflict, which began on Tuesday morning, was sparked by the alleged murder of a prominent farmer, Alhaji, by Herdsmen.

Eyewitnesses said the farmer’s body was discovered in the bush, leading to a swift and deadly retaliation from the community. The ensuing violence saw several people killed and injured, with houses and property destroyed.

The area is now in a state of panic, with residents fleeing in fear of further attacks.
The incident has brought to the fore concerns about the ongoing conflict between farmers and Herdsmen in the region, with many calling for urgent government intervention.

This latest incident comes eight years after a similar clash in the same area claimed over 50 lives, highlighting the need for a lasting solution to the crisis.

So far, there has been no official response from the government or police command.
