The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has commissioned the remodeled National Defence College Officers’ mess in Abuja, charging officers to maintain a high level of professionalism and dedication to their duties.

Akpabio described the facility as a vital hub for strategic discussions and unity among the armed forces, saying it would serve as a sanctuary for those who have dedicated their lives to serving the country.

He commended the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu for its unwavering support for the armed forces and praised the Commandant of the College and his team for their efforts in bringing the vision to fruition.

Rear Admiral O. M. Olotu, Commandant of the National Defence College, described Akpabio as a long-standing patron of the College and commended him for his contribution to the College.

According to him, the commissioning of the Officers’ mess is a significant step forward in ensuring the continued legacy of excellence and service in the armed forces.
