EndBadGovernance Protest: Urhobo Youth Leaders call for Dialogue, non-violent outing

***Advices security agents against intimidation

The Urhobo Youth Leaders Association Abuja Chapter has urged all participants in the nationwide protest to maintain a peaceful disposition, as it emphasized that dialogue should remain the preferred method for addressing grievances.
Chairman of the association Comrade Kennedy Ejename in a statement in Abuja, highlighted the necessity of change, as the only thing that is constant in life.

He adviced the Nigeria youth to adapt to change and improve their operations to be fit and presentable for leadership while the elders and Governments create room for accessibility to support the youth with audiences and listening ears.

This he said will enable the youth to explore, with guidance and support to enhance the growth and developments of the nation.
Comrade Ejename, called for peaceful demonstration, and dialogue as he urged the Nigerian government, military, and police to ensure the safety of protesters.
He recalled with nostalgic feeling the tragic outcomes of the #EndSARS movement, where excessive force was used against demonstrators, resulting in numerous casualties.
Comrade Ejename stressed the fundamental human right to protest, advocating for protection and respect for peaceful assembly.

“I am speaking out loudly, calling out the Nigerian government, the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian police and other Nigerian security agencies that this peaceful protest should not be like the ENDSARS MOVEMENT.”
Ejename underscored the importance of resolving issues through dialogue rather than intimidation or violence. While the youth should know that the only consistant thing in life is change and it should be positive change
“I am calling on the International community, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, International Human Rights Commission, the Human Rights Council, members of international diplomatic corp and the Amnesty International to join in the call for the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Nigerian Police and others to protect the right of peaceful protesters and to avoid any form of intimidation, abuse, or violation of the human rights of citizens.
