FG creates 300,000 Businesses, Provides 1m Jobs in 1 Year- VP Shettima

The federal government has generated over 300,000 businesses through multiple SMEs interventions under which it is expecting to provide over one million jobs mostly for Youths and women in one year.
This was disclosed by the vice president, Senator Kashim Shettima in Jigawa state during one day working visit to the state.
He indicated that “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu initiated many interventions for SMEs which have generated over 300,000 businesses that will also create over one million jobs in one year”.
The vice president explained that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the president was designed to tackle poverty, create job opportunities by encouraging and supporting medium and small scale businesses which constitute over 65 percent of investment and employed 83 percent of labor in Nigeria.
According to him, the present administration is working tirelessly formulating and implimenting policies and programmes that will improve the social and ecomic lives of Nigerians.
Shettima urged the teeming Youths to ignore those calling for nationwide protest who he described as selfish, unpatriotic insisting that the protest will not yield any positive development rather violence and destruction of public properties”.
The Vice president commended governor Malam Umar Namadi for working hard to ensure that the people have jobs and sustainable livelihood for growth and development and initiating and executing projects that will uplift the lives of Jigawa citizens.
On his part, the Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi commended the Federal Government for it’s laudable initiatives, policies and programmes which are gradually changing the social and economic directions of the country.
According to the governor “The federal government Expanded National MSME Clinics designed for the development of Micro, Small & Medium Scale Enterprises to create the necessary environment for inclusive and sustainable growth of the Nigerian Economy and ultimately lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty is commendable”
“We are delighted to align our 12 point Agenda for Greater Jigawa in which we planned to implement several well-conceived targeted interventions with the federal government Renewed Hope “, Namadi emphasis
“The projects would support not only the attainment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for inclusive and sustainable socioeconomic growth and development but also the attainment of our State’s Development Objectives of improved socioeconomic wellbeing for all, as encapsulated in our 12-point Agenda”.
He said all the programs commissioned by Vice president have unlimited potentials to greatly contribute to nation’s quest for economic diversification, food security, employment generation and job creation
During his visit, the Vice President has flagged off the training of 1,000 youth on Artificial intelligence (AI), 20,000 hectors of sprinkler based solar powered irrigation and Small and medium scale enterprises clinic in Jigawa state for boosting Job creation and poverty eradication.
He also commissioned 100 KVA solar-energy power supply installed to provide stable power to small scale enterprises at Dutse Markets; distribution of motorcycle to 1,450 agric extension workers and distribution of Agricultural inputs to rural farmers.
The Vice president was in the State in company of Kebbi and Kaduna state governors, deputy governors of Katsina and Sokoto among others
