Suspected bandits attack bank, police station, kill 3 in Abuja
A branch of a commercial bank in Abaji area of Abuja has been robbed by gunmen suspected to be bandits, after they launched attacked on Divisional Police headquarters facility, killing 3 persons in the process
The attackers about 15, invaded the bank and the police facility simultaneously on Thursday evening at about 5:00 PM.
It was gathered that a police officer and two of the suspects were killed during the attack.
The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident Friday, ssaying operatives of the command, in a combined operation with the military, engaged the armed men in a gun duel, leading to the casualties.
Explaining further the PPRO confirmed that three suspects, including a reported leader of the criminal gang identified simply as Usman, were apprehended by the security agents.
Meanwhile, angry mobs in the area were reported to have set the body of one of the deceased suspects ablaze
